Family Interactional Day
Queen of Peace intends to pilot an interactional day where caregivers share experiences, views and support each other toward rehabilitating our residential service users. This is a unique opportunity for families to connect, learn, and grow together.
Youth Outreach Program
The program aims to reach younger populations as they navigate decision-making, identity development, and peer pressure challenges. We provide education, mentorship, and support to empower youth to make healthy choices.
World Mental Health Day

Amani Festival Launch
On 22 October 2022, Queen of Peace Institute for Community Mental Health Innovations launched the Amani Festival, a yearly October event aligned with World Mental Health Day.
Amani Festival was created to influence communities to fight stigma and discrimination against people with psychosocial and physical disabilities, while amplifying the fight against drug and substance abuse.

Workplace & Faith-Based Mental Health Awareness
Targeted interventions to bring mental health awareness into workplaces and churches, promoting wellness where people live, work, and worship.
- 12 October 2023: Employee Wellness Day at REA (Rural Electrification Agency) β awareness on drug addiction rehabilitation
- Mental Health Week at Zima Lloyds (9th β 13th October 2023) β mental health wellness in the workplace
- Awareness on mental health issues affecting women at Women of Hope Church
National Disability Exhibition & Media Engagements
Queen of Peace actively participates in national platforms to amplify the voices and needs of people with disabilities and those affected by substance use.

- 98.4 FM interviews on success stories in drug and substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation
- ZBC interviews with in-patients at the rehabilitation centre
Anti-Drug Abuse Clean-Up Campaign
Anti-Drug Abuse clean-up campaign at Gweru Civic Centre with youths from the United Methodist Church under the theme: βIllicit drugs kill, stop drug abuse.β
The campaign combined environmental clean-up with education, testimonies, and youth engagement to send a strong message against drug and substance abuse.
